How to find a Seller

You can browse through our Seller categories any time.

To shortlist or contact Sellers you must be registered as a Buyer and signed in.

Finding a Seller is a simple four-stage process:

no.1 Describe assignment

First you must briefly describe the assignment – the job, project, task or contract that you need a Seller to do for you.

A brief description will help your shortlisted Sellers to understand what you want them to do.

The job board

If you don’t want to search for Sellers yourself, your assignment can be added to our free job board.

Sellers with suitable skills can ‘apply’ for the assignment – they write you a brief message, which we send to you, with a link to their full details.

There’s no obligation

You are not committed to anything at this stage.

The final assignment details, which you input at stage 4 of the process, form the terms of the contract with people4business.

no.2 Search for Sellers

The green ‘Find the Seller you need’ box, at the right of your screen, contains the instructions for each step of the process.

Browse through our skills categories to find Sellers with the skills you need.

You can view individual Sellers’ skills lists and read their CVs by clicking on their ID number.

You can sort your Seller lists by hourly rate, location, availability and ratings.

Add Sellers to your shortlist

bullet1Check the box to the right of their listing, or

bullet1Click the ‘Add Seller to shortlist’ button in the ‘Find the Seller you need’ box.

Or we’ll add them for you

We can also create a shortlist of suitable Sellers for your assignment.

Your final shortlist

You can add a maximum of 5 Sellers to your final shortlist.

Once you are happy with your selection, click ‘Confirm final shortlist’.

Adding to your final shortlist

You can add another Seller to your final shortlist only when:

bullet1 A Seller removes themselves from your shortlist; or

bullet124 hours have elapsed since you removed a Seller from your shortlist.

Searching by skills

You may find it easier to look for the skills you need and add them to your skills list.

In the blue ‘Search by skills’ box at the right hand side of your screen you can see the skills you have selected.

You can view Sellers with all of those skills or any of them.

 

no.3Contact Sellers

When you confirm your final shortlist, you get access to the contact details of your chosen Sellers.

All this contact information is accessible from your people4business homepage, where you’ll find details of all your assignments and contracts.

We send your shortlisted Sellers an e-mail with details of the assignment, but they do not have your contact details.

You must now contact the Sellers yourself.

no.4 Award contract

When you have chosen your successful Seller, you complete the assignment details.

You will need to include:

bullet1 the duration of the contract;

bullet1 the invoice and timesheet frequency;

bullet1 the final hourly rate you agreed with your Seller; and

bullet1 whether or not you have given permission for your Seller to claim overtime and expenses.

Once you have agreed to the contract terms, your Seller agrees to the contract for services and the work can begin!
