About ratings

people4business ratings are given to both Buyer and Seller. All ratings you receive are averaged to make your overall rating. Your overall rating can be seen by Buyers and Sellers using the website.

Star system

As a Seller, you give and receive people4business ratings using our star system.

Excellent

Good

Average / Appropriate

Below Average / Did not meet all agreed requirements

Poor / Did not meet any agreed requirements

You can also make brief comments. Note that comments should be factual and contain appropriate language. All comments will be monitored before being published to the site.

Leaving Ratings

As a Seller you can give your Buyer a rating after they have left you one. Your Buyers are only able to leave you a rating after they have paid the invoice for your contract.

Ratings are triggered on a per-invoice basis to ensure that Sellers on long contracts don’t end up with fewer opportunities to receive ratings. For contracts lasting longer than one month, both Buyer and Seller are able to leave people4business ratings for each month – or invoice period – of the contract.

Your ratings

Your people4business homepage displays your overall people4business rating. All your ratings – both those you’ve received from Buyers and those you’ve left for Buyers – are shown on your My Ratings page.

On this page you’ll see when you’ve received a rating from a Buyer. You can then leave your own rating for your Buyer.

Retrospective Ratings

Sellers with ratings are far more likely to be shortlisted by Buyers, and to get a contract.

You can also gain ratings by getting feedback from previous employers.

From your My ratings page, you can use the Retrospective Ratings facility to get feedback on your previous employment or contracts. We’ll send an e-mail to your previous employer(s) to ask them to rate your performance. As soon as we hear back from them we’ll update your rating.

Of course, we’ll need to check that these ratings are accurate, so our customer support team will contact any employer who provides a Retrospective Rating.

Your word is final

Consider carefully before you leave a rating, as it cannot be edited once left. If you change your mind about a rating or a comment you have left; or if you want to object to a rating or comment you have received, please contact us:
