Who can be a Seller

You can be a people4 Seller, and gain freelance contract work if:

• You are legally entitled to work in the UK – see ID verification AND

• You are 18 years old or above

When you register you agree to our Seller terms and conditions

These state, in particular, that you will not enter into any contract with a Buyer you meet through the sites, unless the contract is charged through people4business Limited.

For this reason, you must not put any identifying details in your CV – including your name, your personal website address or that of your company, your phone or email address – which would allow Buyers to contact you directly. Identifying information will be removed from your profile.

Your hourly rate

You set your own hourly rate.

It must be at least the national minimum wage – currently £5.80 per hour

Paid through a limited company

You must be paid through a limited company:

– either through your own limited company, if you have one

– or through an umbrella company

We offer a cost-effective umbrella company service through people4payments.

It is quick and easy to register with people4payments (or another umbrella company). They will process your payments for your people4 contracts, deduct tax and national insurance and put the balance into your bank account.

Premier Sellers

Upgrading to a Premier Seller is an excellent way to stand out from the crowd.

As a Premier Seller, you get priority placement in Buyers’ searches – so are far more likely to gain contracts. As well as this, you benefit from a far more prominent listing, twice as much space in your brief description and your details are featured on our homepages in the Contractor Showcase.

You can boost your people4 ratings by getting ratings from previous employers, through our Retrospective Ratings facility.
