As Managing Director, Duncan is responsible for the day-to-day management of people4business. Duncan, 44, has 20 years of prior management experience, in national media and circulation businesses. He has an excellent record of successful, on-budget implementation of IT solutions and extensive experience in problem solving, people management, technical solutions from specification to staged implementation, facilitation and distribution. With a great deal of previous experience at the buyer end of the market, he experienced life as a seller when he set up his own consultancy. He rapidly came to the conclusion that there was a gap in the market for an online marketplace for buying and selling contractor and consultant services, discussed this business idea with Phil … and here it is! Phil Lowe: Chair |

As Chair, Phil is responsible for the relationships with our investors and funding partners, for international projects and our long-term corporate strategy. Before people4business, Phil spent 17 years providing advertising, editorial, circulation, distribution and finance software and services to the newspaper industry across many regions and languages. After leading a series of mergers and acquisitions which combined Matrix Publishing Systems, Cybergraphic, Geac Publishing Systems, Media Command, Atex and Gazette Technologies to form Atex Media Command (AMC) he took on responsibility for operations generating $55m turnover through 200 staff across the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia and Australasia. In 2005 Phil was retained by one of Brazil’s largest media groups, Associados («http://www.uai.com.br»), to advise them on their future e-commerce strategy. His responsibilities with them have included selecting and deploying a web-based permanent recruitment platform. He is currently a non-Executive investor in various internet-based businesses, and has served as an advisor to the USA’s leading provider of e-commerce software and services for the advertising and publishing industries, AdStar Inc. (Nasdaq: ADST), and as a Director for a number of organisations outside the media sector, including a UK-based market research company, an international PR agency and a telemarketing business for the medical sector. Richard Aylwin: Chief Financial Officer |

Richard is responsible for the financial management and compliance of people4business Limited. Aylwin, 40, qualified with PriceWaterhouseCoopers before moving to join a mid-cap 250 PLC within their small head office team. He has extensive experience of implementing rigorous financial control systems in businesses operating on the tightest of margins, introducing key performance measurement disciplines throughout the management groups under his control. Now with 10 years of experience at Finance Director level, predominantly gained in the fast moving manufacturing and food processing industries, he is used to working closely with charismatic MDs guiding all areas of business strategy and performance. He has experience operating in an Interim Finance Director capacity guiding businesses through substantial change projects. His experience also includes establishing the financial systems and processes to steer a business from a loss-making startup to a business with £40m turnover and healthy profits.
