Currently involved in the ongoing migration of a portfolio of business from 14 European systems to one target system for a major loan insurance company.

Various freelance projects working on Web Site design and development using HTML, PHP and My-SQL.

Also development work using Visual Basic.

Initially worked as a business analyst in the actuarial control team for a large scale migration from legacy system to CAPSIL based system. The role involved –
· Designing and producing controls to reconcile row counts and key field totals.
· Development of an Access Visual Basic/SQL based system to audit the migration of Agency Earnings system.
· Involvement in auditing both the dress-rehersal and live migration.

Following the successful implementation of the migration moved into the general testing area where I –
· Worked on high level test plans for a number of ‘Business as Usual’ projects.
· Designed and documented individual tests using TestDirector.
· Undertook the execution of tests, including data modelling.

Worked as a Business Analyst within the Knowledge Solutions division, specialising in Data Migrations for the Life and Pensions industry. During my time at Cedar, I have been involved in 3 migration projects, working to Kognitio’s own structured methodology and have undertaken the following responsibilities -
Project 3 - Large scale migration from legacy system for AXA Sun Life.
· Involvement in high-level migration requirements workshops.
· Facilitated record creation and field level mapping workshops
· Responsible for the production of requirements specifications for a core area of the migration engine. This involved the production of migration scenarios for different product types and business life cycles.
· Undertook code walkthroughs with developers. Including a development team from India.
Project 2 - Large scale migration from two legacy systems for Sun Life Financial of Canada.
· Facilitated record creation and field level mapping workshops
· Designed test plans and undertook the testing for the migration from the first system.
· Updated requirements specifications to take account of testing failures from the first system.
· Updated requirements specifications to take account of changes to the target system for the second system.
· Responsible for the design and validation of SQL based referential integrity checks.
· Undertook the testing of the migration and subsequent specification changes, including code walkthroughs (C language).
Project 1 - Small scale migration from a legacy system for Woolwich Independent FS.
· Responsible for running requirements gathering workshops with business and technical staff from the IFA and the new system supplier and subsequent production of functional specifications.
· Undertook some parts of the development using Microsoft technologies (Excel VBA)
In addition, I was also responsible for developing a training course to train other Business Analysts in writing their own SQL queries.

· Acted as business representative for project ensuring that the company’s Persistency System met regulatory requirements. This involved the undertaking of a gap analysis and the production of requirements specifications for the redevelopment of the company’s system. Also involved in the identification of test scenarios and the co-ordination of testing.
· Acted as business representative for millennium proofing of a number of business critical systems. This involved the liaison with the IT and business teams to identify systems that needed to be included in the Millennium project, the securing of business resources to undertake testing of the systems and the overseeing of the implementation.
· Successfully acted as location co-ordinator for company’s millennium production test.
