 Analysis of local government Invest to Save bids and Implementing E-Government statements in support of OeE policy development;
 Development of an engagement strategy for local government in respect of the central IT infrastructure for the use of the public sector, engaging with sensitivity in a very political area where stakeholders held entrenched views;
 Outreach to local authorities and representing the OeE at key events;
 Representing the local government perspective within the OeE.

• Feb 01 to Apr 02 – Senior Policy Advisor (HEO/SEO), e-government policy.
 Development of guidance to central government departments on producing e-business strategies that was concise and gave an excellent understanding of the requirement;
 Drafting submissions to senior officers and Ministers, responses to Parliamentary Questions, meeting minutes, proposals;
 Design and delivery of an e-government workshop for 50 central and local government e-strategists, which gave all attendees a shared vision of the way ahead;
 Producing documents and strategies for ensuring that departments and their HM Treasury contacts took adequate account of customer focus issues in Spending Review
