Clinical Trials Management Systems (CTMS) division
The CTMS division develops enterprise software systems to assist management of clinical trials.

Reporting directly to UK based Vice President and US based Chief Technology Officer:
• Accountable for the full lifecycle development & support of enterprise systems utilised by multi-national organisations to control Clinical Trials;
• Member of the Operations Group managing all aspects of divisional operation;
• Responsible for technical recruitment within CTMS division;
• Responsible for planning and scheduling projects, providing delivery schedules to customers and other parts of the organisation;
• Liaison with other sectors of the organisation, including US based teams;
• Maintenance and enhancement of Quality Management System.

Major achievements
• Successful selection and implementation of resource and task planning system throughout local organisation, thus improving timeliness and accuracy of project reporting.
• Successfully managed integration of company following acquisition by US parent organisation;
• Achieved successful development and implementation of multiple releases of two major application products to time and budget, utilising both web technologies (Java/HTML) and Client-Server (VB/Gupta) with Oracle and SQL Server databases;
• Managed reduction of workforce through redundancies, whilst minimising voluntary turnover of staff;
• Development and implementation of a bespoke software development lifecycle and supporting Quality Management System and operating procedures.

The Software Products division developed and supported the JBA System/21 ERP systems.

Reporting directly to the Director of Product Development:
• Management of between 40 and 25 technical staff developing and supporting JBA System/21 Logistics, Financial, and Manufacturing applications;
• Planning and managing multiple concurrent projects, delivered to budget and date;
• Management of remote development teams;
• Liaison with other sectors of the organisation;
Major achievements
• Managed staff redundancies;
• Successful integration of three technical teams into a single team following a company restructure;
• Project management of large, bespoke developments for world-wide implementation;
• Development of technical standards for the development teams;
• Maintenance and enhancement of Quality Management Systems and procedures;

Minster developed Logistics software specialising in distribution and warehouse management.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director:
• Full project management;
• Account management responsibilities for nominated clients;
• Requirements capture;
• Business and program specification;
• Preparation and delivery of training courses;
• Liaising with client staff to board level;
• Pre-sales demonstrations and consultancy;
Major achievements
• Full project responsibility for the implementation of Minster distribution and financial systems for a number of large international and SME customers;
• Migration of Minster applications from Texas Instruments hardware to AS/400;

DCS developed workshop and inventory management applications targeted at the automotive trade.

Reporting to the National Accounts Manger:
• Responsibility for a team of up to 6 analyst / programmers;
• On-Site support for one of the companies largest clients, providing day-to-day assistance to the director responsible for IT;
• Analysis and programming of online and batch enhancements to the Dealerman systems, utilising RPG III and CLP;
Major Achievements
• Managed design and development of new Sales Order Processing application;
• Assisted in the migration of DCS applications from IBM System/36 and System/38 to AS/400 hardware;
• Implementation of systems in a number of automotive dealerships around the UK;

The Software Products division developed and supported the JBA System/21 ERP systems.

Reporting to the Development Director:
• Working with a Senior Programmer to design, develop and support the Purchase Management and Requisitions modules of the JBA applications suite, utilising RPG and CLP;
Major Achievements
• Implementation of Purchase and Requisitions Management and Inventory Management applications with a number of UK and Eire based companies;
• Development of interfaces between JBA applications and IBM MAAPICS MRP applications;
