Personal Achievements
• At Sequence I was introduced a new in house approach into the planning and development of a website. A thorough analysis of the client’s requirements was abstracted from this analysis and proforma webpages, in storyboard flow chart format, were created using an amalgamation of customised Visio templates. The templates would feature an overall site plan with detailed drill downs of all the individual pages featured within the website showing proforma database queries/transactions calls, form validation, error trapping and associated hyperlinked pages.Clear, concise & simplified documentation was drawn up for pages containing complex procedures. This methodology greatly helped developers to not only develop sites and a more efficient and staggering pace but also became beneficial for developers who had not previously worked on a site to pick up and follow on to either maintain a site or extend the sites functionality and development.
• Receiving excellent local press reviews for the Cardiff Blues Rugby & Principality Building Society (Principality being the largest Building Society in Wales) websites as well as having worked on the award winning First Choice website when working for Comtec Europe.
• As a company director at Moving Ads Cymru, a company which was set up to provide Private Hire Taxi’s with on screen digital advertising, we won the right from Cardiff County Council to develop and install LCD screens in Private Hire Taxis - a first for any such request! Previous legislation forbade any form of advertising. A case and presentation was made to a council committee of twenty and unanimously approved by Cardiff County Council and later by Rhondda County Council.
• On a non technical issue I was involved in setting up a local community football team in the area of Canton in Cardiff. No junior football team existed in the area prior to my founding of Canton Rangers FC. The team now boasts 6 teams across 5 different ages groups with ten qualified volunteer coaches and backroom staff, four major sponsors, feeder schools and Football Association of Wales accreditation. Four of the girls now play for Cardiff City Ladies and Wales whilst four boys attend the Football Association Of Wales development schools.
