CV (Curriculum Vitae) / Résumé
I have been working for the last 2 years as a Front End Developer at the LEGO Group. During my time here I have been involved in a number of initiatives within the Interactive Experiences Department, including the LEGO.com homepage redesign, the product page portal and the product template project for all LEGO brands. Technically, the front end development has evolved into utilising CSS2 standards for page formatting and building with .NET controls. As an aside, the role has also allowed me to look at legal issues in a web development context e.g. data protection, copyright, accessibility, viral marketing.
Prior to Lego I had worked on a number of contract based front end projects in the public sector and financial services sectors. These have included a consultancy development project for the Royal Bank of Scotland (rebuilding a powerbuilder application as a web form based application) and working as a client-side developer for the Camelot Group. ( National Lottery website ).
My earlier experience included work as an internet consultant for the Sopheon Group where I undertook a varied consultancy role. My work ranged from front end development (mostly involving content management systems) to research on related topics such as WAP and XML.
As far as my future plans go, I am keen to keep learning and incorporating the skills and experience I have gained to date, on challenging projects. Ideally, I would like to continue consolidating my work experience and academic knowledge as much as possible.
