Wimblington War Memorial Fundraising Chairman – (managed to raise funds to refurbish Italian Marble war memorial ready for World War 2 commemorations – organised re-dedication with Air & Army Cadets, Minden Band of the Queen’s Division – Corps of Army Music, Ely Diocese & St Peter’s Church, Wimblington). Chairperson for World War 2 commemorations for Wimblington & Stonea – organised wartime concert with three-course wartime meal for ex-veterans & evacuees in the village & excursion for the same group to Duxford for Battle of Britain Air Display – raised funds through the Big Lottery Fund. Co-ordinator for Wimblington’s Village of the Year entry 2002 & 2003.
