This job has included graphic design, vector and freehand drawing and logo design as well as animation. I was first employed in February to create a series of e-learning animations for students at the University of Manchester on a course run by the NHS on screening newborn babies for hearing difficulties. Since then I have done a wide range of work from small decorative pieces to fully functional animated menus, animated advertising slogans and much more. I designed and built my own site in Flash and put it online in collaboration with Blue Streak.

I am still working for Blue Streak Design but I am keen to find supplementary work.

I provided lettering (ie speech balloons and text) for a graphic novel biography of the Sex Pistols.

I was required to add colour to digital artwork using Corel Painter. This was my first experience of using a graphics tablet. I was working on one of their semi-educational history books "Julius Caesar". I was not credited for the work.

This was my first experience working in this field. My father was working for Hodder and Stoughton at the time and I assisted him in creating small pieces of vector artwork and colouring, all done in Illustrator. At this point I did not have access to a graphics tablet so it all had to be done using a mouse, which took a steady hand and a lot of co-ordination. Despite my young age at the time the work was of high quality and was accepted by the publisher.
