Cablecom Productions (Telephone Information Service Provider), Mayfair - LondonParticipated in a number of external client meetings to develop business cases and project descriptions. I then proceeded to write functional and technical specifications on a case by case basis.
Designed and implemented a mobile billing platform that generated over £1million in revenues for one of Cablecom’s customers (Sonera Zed UK Ltd).
This involved writing socket based components that I wrote in C++ to securely establish connectivity to the reverse billing platforms of the UK Mobile Operators.
I was responsible for ensuring, that end product system deliverables performed well, and were delivered on time, within budget constraints and met the requirements of the business with respect to robustness, resilience, performance and security.
Played a key role in assisting senior management in meetings when software integration and network decisions had to be made, often accompanied by business benefit reports and use case (UML) diagrams that I prepared.
Chaired a number of project meetings as well producing functional and technical specification documents.

Also implemented a two way based mobile based messaging system for members to query tee time availability in real-time.
Planned, coordinated and supervised the roll out of a Point of Sale System to 35 of American Golf’s golf clubs, which significantly reduced administration and added to efficiencies throughout the group.
Installed and Configured DNS, Mail, Web and FTP Services on Linux and Windows 2000 Servers co-located at a Data Centre to facilitate American Golf Corporation’s UK operations.
This was followed by a handover document that I wrote, in addition to training IT personnel who took over the maintenance.
Installed, and deployed a Fortigate firewall which involved adding the necessary antivirus protection, web content filtering, email filtering, network intrusion and detection policies.
