My own small IT Consultancy and Technical Writing Practice. I mainly work from home, but have a purpose built office with all of the modern conveniences. I have developed a client base which includes a chain of top entertainment venues, Independent Financial Advisors, Private Equity Firms, Publishers and Technology Companies.

Roles encompassed were IT Manager for Alphasoft Consultancy Ltd; Head of Network Support Department; Senior Technical Architect and Project Management. Alphasoft is a company specialising in IT support solutions for Small to Medium sized businesses. Within Alphasoft I was responsible for the companies own IT management, managing the busy network support team, analysing all our clients technical needs and proposing and project managing solutions. The client facing aspect of my role involved discussing the business need with the client, designing solutions to fit the budget, advising clients on new products or technologies that would be beneficial to their business and producing supporting documentation. This was also a Hands-on role, troubleshooting and building networks, often over multiple sites with WAN links. This has been a role with a wide variety of challenges and technologies, with a heavy emphasis on customer satisfaction. This role is also a managerial position with responsibility for the technical support team and the internal IT infrastructure for Alphasoft. I was involved in the business strategy of Alphasoft and had spent time developing new business opportunities.
