Materials Handler 2001 – 2003

During my tenure here, I assumed supervisor responsibility for the stock control database, inventory administration
and assembling of component kits for circuit boards used in the telecommunications Industry.
A good knowledge of stock locations and inventory management was required to ensure that the assemblers
could process the days orders on time!

Also some assembly work and an awareness of the special handling requirements of delicate electronic components, (microchips etc)


EARLY CAREER BACKGROUND

Prior to the above, I completed several customer service contract placements through Express Recruitment,
Select Employment and Manpower recruitment – handing me essential work experience and an invaluable opportunity to further develop transferable skills still in practical use today and transferable into any role


PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

I have also completed an intermediate level Excel 2002 spreadsheet course and I am currently studying an MCAD (Microsoft Certified Application Developer) distance learning I.T. Course spanning web design,Windows® development, XML, ADO.NET and the wide range of software technologies using the .NET framework.

I embarked on this two and a half year program of study via personal financial expense and considerable commitment with the aim being to find employment as a software developer.

The course involves a range of up to date software technologies, all encompassed by the Microsoft.NET®
framework, using C# as the core programming language.

I’m learning the development of Active X controls, re-usable software components, ASP server technology
and the development of web applications.
