ACHIEVEMENTS
• Pivotal Project Management and technical role for the design, development, implementation and rollout of an innovative online banking system for Virgin One. This was a crucial strategic project that enabled Virgin to re-establish market-leading features to its ‘One account’ product and substantially grow its customer-base.
• Awarded Virgin’s ‘Uncommon People’ award for “Extraordinary Commitment” following the successful implementation of a new online banking system. The new system featured in advertising and promotional material and was used extensively to differentiate Virgin’s product from its competitors.
• Active member of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group’s ‘Architectural Review Board’, responsible for ensuring new technical projects adhered to Group IT Strategy and standards. This key role helped to ensure that the many ongoing technical projects within the group were undertaken to the highest standards, regardless of the size of the project or the location of the project teams.
• Key role in the proposal and subsequent implementation of a large Configuration Management solution for The Royal Bank of Scotland Group. This was a key enabler of the group’s drive to improve quality across technical projects.
• Technical Consultant to the British Accounting and Software Developer’s Association (BASDA) during the design and development of the eBis-XML World Standard for electronic Business-to-Business financial transactions, enabling financial systems to exchange data easily and reduce transaction times significantly.
