July 2005– February 2006 IMS International and BASEC (British Approvals Service of Electronic Cables) Secretary and PA General administration work, maintaining and updating file system, issuing invoices and remittance notes, chasing payments from clients, issuing certificates to clients, preparing audit notes and information for the lead auditors, booking flights and travel arrangements and developing and implementing a data based intranet. During my time spent at Basec I was also in charge of the preparation and development of procedures, setting up of system directory and files and development of an internal intranet. February 2006 – September 2007 St. Clements Health Centre Medical Secretary / PA / Shift Manager General Administration work including shift running, drafting and typing of medical letters, organising PBC and LMC meetings, re-indexing medical files and carrying out audits to locate patients that met specified criteria for new treatment plans, booking and tracking appointments using the “Choose and Book” system, creating presentations and support material for meetings, using the full range of Microsoft office suite. During my time spent in this role I also took control of the IT demands and requirements of the health centre, this included such tasks as preparing visual displays for meetings using projectors and setting up an electronic calling display system to alert patients as to where they needed to go for their appointments. Whilst setting up the caller display system it was necessary to network the centre computers in order for the display to be controlled from any terminal. Before I undertook this task none of the centre was networked, and it meant that accessing work could only be done on the terminal it was started on, whereas after the network was in place, file sharing access meant that anybody could access any of the files from any terminals and this improved efficiency greatly.
