Employment History

DIRECTOR

Clients have included regional UK airports, a start-up airline, government departments, military and a number of other aviation customers.

(Jul 2006 to Mar 2008)

GENERAL MANAGER LGW

Overall management of the My Travel operation at Gatwick, responsible for leadership of cabin crew, ground services and pilot community, and overall service and performance delivery. Focus on raising customer service standards at this challenging base with a view to expanding across the whole airline network.
I designed improved check-in facilities, increased baggage accountability and reduced misplaced baggage quota by almost 400%. I operated the most on-time charter airline at Gatwick for 2007 and 2008; with 15 % improvement in CSQ scores (the only UK airline to show improvement following the 2006 security alerts at airports.) I also initiated an excess baggage system which increased the overall company income and made Gatwick the highest earning station in the MYT network. Customer Ground Income was industry leading at over £3.80 per passenger, with on-board spend also increased by 35%. I also reduced delay costs by over £300k at Gatwick by designing a delay management system which was adopted across the airline.
I was a member of the AOC Executive Board/ Airline Consultative Group and Strategic Planning Groups and within my role at My Travel, and the AOC, I had daily contact with senior CAA, BAA and airline community managers. I had regular input into a number of strategic planning groups dealing with various aspects of the airline planning and delivery areas both at Gatwick and across the company network.
