The Electricity Pool of England & Wales

• Provided business analysis expertise for the introduction and implementation of the 1998 Trading Arrangements which deregulated the market for electricity suppliers, distributors and generators; the 2000 Trading Arrangements which introduced agent competition and the 100kW Data Migration project. All projects utilised PRINCE methodology

• Developed business process test strategies, plans, specifications, scenarios, scripts and expected results to support national trialling and end to end testing of the Trading Arrangements between market participants (suppliers, their agents and registration and settlement participants)
• Responsible for witnessing market entry business process test execution at market participants sites around the UK on behalf of the Pool during trialling and end to end testing
• Managed and coordinated market entry business process testing on-site on behalf of the Pool, liaising with participant management, operational staff and IT service providers to verify test results and review and resolve test issues and problems
• Monitored market participants performance after the trading arrangements became “live”
• Resolved performance assurance issues with participants by developing joint resolution strategies
