Responsible for negotiating multi vendor software development contract terms and conditions for the bank's Front End Replacement Programme, circa £30m. The technical solution for the Programme was a mix of bespoke development and systems integration.

Stage managed UK bank's migration to the new international banking network S.W.I.F.T. IP network for Global Payments Broker and the CREST system. This was a global project involving 136 countries who each had to migrate to secure IP connectivity within their own country window as dictated by S.W.I.F.T

Senior IS/IT Procurement Officer

Originally employed on a contractor basis, became permanent member of staff in September 99, and subsequently promoted to Senior Procurement Officer.

Provide consultancy to members in the Division and on a Group-wide basis on licensing of software Microsoft Select, Oracle, Novell, Cisco, Norton Anti Virus, and the introduction of a Voice over IP telephony system.

Undertake research assignments and advise eCommerce R&D technical team on all matters relating to eCommerce risks, in particular, PKI encryption (electronic signatures), electronic reverse auctions, the tensions between trademarks and domain names.

Act as internal consultant to ensure budget holders complied with 'EC Rules' on public procurement for high value/high risk strategic services, IT development, works and services. Liaised with Treasury officials, Company's lawyers and external auditors on legislative, and compliance issues. Re-engineered business process for each activity within remit following benchmarking project.

In addition to above act as company Security Officer to co-ordinate all physical and system security issues from buildings/system access to fraud detection, including production and implementation of procedures to BS7799. Act as Data Protection registrar and advice on latest developments and transition to the new Act.
