Sept 04 - Purchasing Manager, TNCI UK Ltd, Derby. Responsible for purchasing of

equipment and services for on train information systems.

Sept 02 to Purchasing &Materials Manager, Lafarge Cement UK.Spend of approx

£3m per annum on consumable goods and services and £1.5m

for capital equipment. In addition responsible for the control of a material

stores containing approx 6000 items.Targets to reduce stockholding and

revenue and capital savings. Management of four staff.( 3 admin

and 1 storekeeper ). Member of the site senior management team.

March 01 to Purchasing Manager for Savoye Logistics Loughborough, responsible for

Sept 02 purchasing and management of equipment for automatic warehousing

systems and service contracts. Annual spend of approx £4m. Responsible

for one Buyer. Close liaision with Project Managers and Engineers, to

ensure projects delivered to time and budget.

April 98 to Buyer for Morris Material Handling, Loughborough, dealing with the

March 01 purchasing of equipment for automatic warehousing systems,cranes and

Gas and Electricity contracts. Joined Savoye Logistics following sale of

Morris Material Handling Automation Division to Savoye Logistics, France.

reviewing and rationalising existing contracts.

Oct 1996 Senior Buyer, Business Support, for English, Welsh & Scottish Railway in to Oct 1997: Derby, responsible for a wide range of products and services, including

road vehicles, clothing, personal protective equipment and travel services, with a total spend of approximately £12m.Savings targets regularly achieved.Responsible for the management of two buyers and clerical support staff.

April 1994 Purchasing Manager, Traction & Rolling Stock for Mainline Freight in

to Oct 1996: Nottingham, responsible for traction and rolling stock component

overhauls and repairs and the purchase of new components. Mainline

were a subsidiary of the British Railways Board before Rail Industry

privatisation.

Oct 1993 Project Manager on secondment to Trainload Freight to assist in the

to Apr 1994: development of new Procurement and Logistics organisations for the

three Trainload Freight operating divisions of the British Railways Board

(South East, West and North East).

Aug 1982 Performance and Standards Manager for British Rail Procurement
