Responsible for the overall management of a mobile phone repair facility employing in excess of 150 staff. Accountable for initiating a culture of change and results orientated approach to handset repair. The development of production and strategic targets, the co-ordination of new program introduction and the integration of specific information technology projects into production operations. Also key in the strengthening of customer support and supplier negotiations with Orange and Nokia.

Achievements

· Development and achievement of production targets resulting in a 600% reduction in Work In progress.

Senior Manager - European Asset Recovery (1999 - 2003)Xerox Ltd

Accountable for the management and development of European re-manufacturing operations. Programme leader for the selection and development of strategic initiatives aimed at driving competitive advantage. Responsible for generation and maintenance of both monochrome and colour digital multifunctional programme technical plans, together with performance tracking of team deliverables against targets. Areas covered included, hardware planning, manufacturing product performance definition, process documentation, Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and tooling.

· Generation / implementation of plans resulting in the successful delivery of the first color product to be assembled within Europe.

Senior Engineer - New Product Delivery Team (1994 - 1997) Xerox Ltd

Engineer responsible for the European development of a digital scanner. Deliverables included, Quality and Performance, Build processes, Environmental requirements / Procedures, Development and commissioning of tooling valued in excess of £500,000.

Sole engineer responsible for integrating the first new build fax facility to Mitcheldean. All areas from strategy development / legal requirements to tooling design and software supplier liaison covered.

Local authority signoff of European design modifications, European Integration redesigns, tolerance stack up's etc.

Engineer assigned to regaining launch schedule on light lens product when feed problems jeopardised launch date.

Also responsible for: - Electro-Magnetic Emissions compliance, Foreign device compatibility and testing, Xerographic Performance, Electrical / Electronic system integration, Harnesses and PWBA.'s

Lead Engineer - Operations (1989 - 1994) Xerox Ltd

Based in various worldwide locations including Japan and the USA. Primary objective was to secure an effective transition from the design to production environment within launch timescales. Secondary objectives included the development of unique strategies to achieve customer quality, cost and delivery targets.
