Experience | Summer 2000 BAE Systems - Hawk Estimating I worked as part of the estimating team for sale of Hawk aircraft. During this placement I re-organised the filing system used by the department by creating a database containing information on each document for ease of future reference. July 2001 - Nov 2001 BAE Systems - Advanced Technology Demonstration Centre My duties during this placement mainly included concept work on a new project and liaising with other departments for required information. I can unfortunately not provide any more detailed information of my tasks due to the sensitivity of this project. Nov 2001 - April 2002 BAE Systems - Research & Development I tested new software (Tornado) on an IMA (Integrated Modular Avionics) system and kept a record of all actions taken so future users could understand the work I had already carried out. I also constructed a boot up program and user manual to initiate several Nimrod display screens for VIP demonstrations. April 2002 - August 2002 BAE Systems - Hawk Flight Test I worked as part of the Hawk Flight Test group. My duties included preparing and submitting 'Request for Flight Test' documents to obtain flight clearance. Summer 2003 BAE Systems - Simulation Group I worked as part of a team involved in the virtual design of several cockpit displays using MultiGen Creator. This included a full range of primary displays and an interactive Eurofighter digital selection pad. These displays were designed to test the feasibility of exporting models created within the design program, MultiGen Creator, into another modeling platform. |
