Providing EDI consultancy and support to the E-commerce division of Nortel Networks for Europe, Middle East and Asia and North America. Multiple document types, circa 45,000 transactions daily.
The role was multi-faceted, covering level 3 support (ie mapping and configuration issues) and providing training and advice to users.
I was also involved in a number of projects simultaneously, for example :
*Development of maps to process data extracted from web pages, used to place orders.
*Enhancement of existing maps.
*Migrating EDI systems from BAAN and legacy to SAP environment.
*Preparing test schedules and test data environments.
*Upgrading trading partners to later versions of standards.
*Liaison with business users and trading partners to identify business benefits to be gained from EDI/E-commerce developments.
