I carried out hydraulic modelling for the redevelopment of a quarry in Nuneaton and collected data for a recycling strategy in central London.

I was involved in a cavern design project and carried out an on-site discontinuity survey for a rock slope stabilisation project.

I carried out environmental monitoring in the field for a research programme which aims to continually monitor changes in biodiversity, the ecology of small fauna, the impact of gaming on bird and mammal populations, and the impact of intensive fishing methods on the wetland ecosystems along the Kilombero River.

During my time there I was project managing design teams and .NET/C♯ developers, as well as liaising with clients and managing client expectations. I was micro-managing up to 40 projects at a time, all varying in size and cost; my organisational skills as well as my ability to prioritise and work under intense pressure were key to my success in this role. During my time with Webreality I also became involved in business development including public speaking, writing press releases, blogging, direct mail campaigns, email campaigns, creating presentations (in Keynote, Flash and Powerpoint), organising seminars, and maintaining and developing the Webreality brand and website. I have developed skills in HTML/CSS, Photoshop, Fireworks, Basecamp (Project Management tool), Google Adwords, SEO and web copywriting.

I was Project Manager on a design proposal and feasibility study for a culvert trash improvement scheme. I was also responsible for producing design options and reports for a flood alleviation feasibility study along the Thames. I carried out site supervision whilst at Halcrow for geotechnical engineering sub-contractors who were carrying out site investigations on man-made channels. and I also produced a report for investigations into structural assets along man-made channels.

I worked as part of the 100-strong design team on the Westlink M7 project, a 40km motorway linking western Sydney to the city. I produced innovative designs for water quality control basins along the Westlink M7 where there were spatial and hydraulic constraints and was also responsible for the initial stages of a flood study to assess rainfall patterns and calculate flood levels in a flood-prone region of New South Wales. My duties included carrying out community consultation and collection and analysis of hydrological data. I also carried out an hydrological analysis to determine rainfall and temporal patterns in the vicinity of a proposed mine in Bangladesh.
