Overview: The Role as System Tester involves testing the implementation of the LTSB Sterling Bulk Outclearing and Euro Clearing cheque processes, moving from a V to A Series IPS-based clearing platform and retaining all captured codeline data on the Payment Information Application (PIA)

Major duties:
• Formal system testing of the A Series IPS-based clearing platform.
• Proving compliance or non compliance of applications and services through system testing
• Analysing and specifying requirements for System Test (end-to-end)
• Formal reviews of the functional specification and business operational design documents to produce system test scripts

Overview: The Role as UAT Tester involves the testing and analysis of the Barclays PIA (Payment Information Archive), Barclays PIE (Payment Image Archive) and Barclays Cross Border (Scottish & Irish cheques) applications after system test is complete to validate the code is ready for release to the client. The position entails analysing results of the applications through Microsoft Sequel Server (Enterprise Manager/Query Analyser), Sierra Report validation and Genius mainframe system validation.

Overview: Role as System Test Analyst / Team Member involved testing and analysis of the designated applications and systems. The position entailed analysing of the application, it’s integrated systems, and writing & executing of test scripts, bug tracking and sign off. The position as a system tester is as a team player with technical knowledge but a functional/business perspective on testing.


Full System Testing: Bespoke systems have been tested using the latest Microsoft technology, Web-based applications through to complex Data-warehouse and reporting systems. In most instances a full end-to-end test was carried out. The tasks involved included full analysis of functional, exception and technical specifications of both application and data feeds, writing of system test scripts and executing of test cases. Output was tested against an initial baseline based on production data. In all instances the data feeds were tested as was the respective databases and front-end screens.

• IBM 3890 High speed Sorter operator, responsible for the processing of paper items received from the Central Clearing House
• Audit and Reconciliation supervisor, ensuring “Full Balance” at end of day
• Responsible for the delegation of up to 45 members of staff within the Audit, Reconciliation, High/Low Speed Sorter processes to achieve “Full Balance” at end of day.
