Made up of three companies in very diverse markets – Promotional Products (Promotional Merchandise), Imaging (Design, Print & Photo Gifts) and Sisushi (Restaurant). The role involves devising clear marketing plans for each of the companies and implementing the strategies (within budget) into their respective marketplaces – a mix of both B2B and B2C. Due to the diversity of the Group’s operations my role involves:

• Instrumental in setting up the distribution of Sisushi products through Leeds University Student Union.
• Launched and event managed Baskind Promotions first ever supplier exhibitions across two sites – which generated a 580% ROI.
• Focused the Baskind Promotions sales force through clear customer segmentation.
• Developed and launched the Ecokind brand within the promotional merchandise marketplace.

RESEARCH CONSULTANT

Undertook a 3-week intensive competitor research project for key product/service areas. Developed and built an easy-to-use competitor database which could be populated and updated internally on an ongoing basis. Operations are split into three distinct areas – artwork & reprographics, brand strategy and design, and brand implementation software. All of these services are targeted towards the retail and fmcg sectors. My role was to market each of these areas, which involved:

 Restructuring the marketing of the organisation into three distinct brands (Watt, Gilchrist & Odin) that communicated to different audiences.
 Creating a central research information resource for all areas of the business to tap into.
 Significantly improved internal communications via intranet and newsletter.
 Establishing the Watt brand in the UK design marketplace and re-establishing the Gilchrist brand in the print marketplace after years of neglect.
 Bringing the sales and marketing functions of UK and North American operations closer together.
