I currently operate as an independent consultant and technical contractor, helping UK and worldwide organisations define and implement management system initiatives. I have worked with a number of major organisations to deliver considerable business benefits from their project investments.
I have worked operational in a variety of industrial sectors ranging from food to electronics. A degree qualified Electrical and Electronic engineer I quickly became in a corporate electronics organisation head of the QMES function and project leader, where I was involved in a number of business improvement programmes resulting in major cost and efficiency improvements over a 2 year period.
I am a lead assessor qualified to ISO9001:2000, ISO14001, AS9100 and is NEBOSH (Health and Safety) qualified. I am also a member of the Institute of Quality Assurance and the local Chambers of Commerce.
As a consultant, I have successfully completed a number of ISO9000, 14000, 18001, EN13980 implementations and Health and Safety projects in a variety of sectors. I have designed, developed and delivered bespoke management systems training to over 70 organisations, including consultants.
My business process experience and strong analytical ability is a major asset and this approach has identified a need for a type of value added audit, a process technical assessment. This approach has been developed for a variety of clients and is particularly useful for an OEM, where Quality, Cost and Delivery metrics are key. Using this unique approach I can help OEM’s with there outsourcing programmes and provide project management support.

With downsizing and large companies losing their technical expertise, I am currently offering organisations ‘Portfolio Management’ type services, where consultants are offered to backfill this technical, quality, environmental, health and safety void for companies. Initial research has shown this is a highly effective solution to clients and represents a win-win situation.

Company set-up with responsibility for all aspects of the running of the business through planning to the day-to-day running of the operation. This encompassed mainly financial management, management of company consultants\trainers and employees, internal management systems development.
Other responsibilities also included Sales & Marketing of the company tri-divisional services as well as acting as chief consultant and principal trainer for client projects. The company had the following divisional business services,
Management Systems division: Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety, Process Improvement training & consultancy, Approved training centre SVQ/NVQ + SQMS auditing.
IT division: Customer Relationships Management (CRM) software project consultancy, Database and Website Development & Design, Hardware Build & Support.

Large Construction Client UK: Full project Management for one of largest construction company in UK duration developing an integrated management system: 2 years ongoing.

Training Courses: I have trained upwards to 200 companies over the last 4 years covering all aspects of professional management systems training.

Oil Exploration/Supply Client: Consultancy in Quality Management System Transition from ISO9001: 1994 to ISO9001: 2000 and perform overall Business Processes Mapping for Oil Exploration organisation. Duration 6 months.
