Fashion PR Manager

I spent some time working for a bespoke shoe designer Hetty Rose and fashion entertainment company Couture Clubbing and their events division Couture Nights.
My responsibilities for both companies include:
• Managing all PR coordination and material
• Writing press releases/invitations/newsletters
• Running, researching and attending events/exhibitions
• Designing and producing marketing and promotional material

• Assisting on fashion shows
• Developing PR and marketing strategies
During my time with these fresh fashion companies I have built up my own database of contacts
throughout the media. I was able to get Hetty Rose Shoes featured in major publications such as the Evening Standard and assisted in the successful running of two recent fashion show events for Couture Nights at Mo*vida.

Production Assistant

1 month work placement July 2007

ASOS.com Is one of the UK’s largest online fashion and beauty online shopping destinations.
Main responsibilities included:
• Assisting all aspects of model photo shoots and catwalk filming on a day to day basis

It was amazing to be part of such a fashion forward, fast paced and creative environment at ASOS. There
was no room for error on photo shoots so I had to constantly be on the ball and thinking ahead to ensure
everything ran smoothly

(Jan 2005 to Jul 2007)

Marketing and PR Coordinator

London

Design company specialising in architecture, brand and graphic communications.
This role was both challenging and very demanding and involved:
• Running direct marketing campaigns independently
• Responding to relevant tenders and PQQ’s
• Creating proposals and presentations to the highest standard for new business pitches
• Proofing important documents
• Liaising with press/journalists
• Managing press releases
• Managing PR and new business database and status reports
• Project coordination on the Volvo account
My role as new business and marketing coordinator often entailed working intensely to strict deadlines. I work extremely well under pressure due to my excellent organisational skills and am very committed to meeting these deadlines.
I worked very closely with both the Practice Principle and Managing Director and so learnt a lot about what running a small business entails.
