Own brands of Micromark and Coolzone, plus the Top 40 consumer durables brands such as Samsung, LG, Sony, Whirlpool. The brief included business restructuring and turnaround by bringing sales, marketing and category solutions into field and Key Account management plus multi-site trade collection. Total sales of £145m through Grocery Multiples, DIY Sheds, Drug, merchants own wholesale, web and 3rd party white boarding.
Achievements:
• Turned around 2 year sales decline in 6 months in addition to developing a stronger commercial strategy and resulted in a re-structuring of the sales, category management and marketing functions giving a further saving £0.75m
• Created and developed outbound customer contact centre with sales of £20m
• Implemented category management adding £1m of contribution
• Evaluated and implemented common pricing and terms structures adding £1.5m to contribution
• Developed and maximised the marketing strategy and instigated strong direct response programs including technology upgrades to Sales Force Automation, Marketing and Business Intelligence.
