1989-2000 Transfer Press toolmaker 3M neotechnic Ltd

I served my time with 3M neotechnic as a Transfer press toolmaker working on Platarg

Waterbury farrel and Bruderer multi stage transfer presses. Working on deep drawn

Aluminium and Stainless steel components for the Pharmsuticals industry.

As a Toolmaker it was my responsibility to manufacture the tooling for the component to be

Produced, and to install the tooling in the press. To produce the component to the drawing

Specification, and to ensure there was adequate spare tooling for the press. To rectify any

Deviation of the component from the drawing specification. It was also my responsibility to

Implement any tooling modifications, and to assist the management team in improvement

Drives such as Total Quality Management and Good Manufacturing Practice.

2000 Product Trainer 3M neotechnic Ltd In this role in addition to my duties as a toolmaker

was train other employees how the product we produced worked and what was important to

the functioning of the product.
