SENIOR TECHNICAL PROGRAMME MANAGER
A Senior Technical Manager for LDV Product Engineering. My position responsibility is to deliver total programmes from concept to production on time to budget.
The business plan involves conceptual estimates on cost, timing and resource required to introduce to market any new vehicle requirement.
I maintain a staff of 6 Project Managers, 1 Concepts Manager, 1 Project Engineer and 1 Vehicle Stylist.
In 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001, I implemented 8 independent model year programmes on Convoy and Pilot vehicles. These programmes were developed from Concepts to business cases approved by the Chairman and implemented on time to budget to become model year improvements.
They included;
· School Minibus
· ABS braking system
· Immobilisor security system
· Improved Heating and Ventilation
· NVH
· Quality refinements and reliability.
· Bi fuel LPG / petrol engine vehicles on all Convoy variants
· European stage 3 emission engine installation programme into all Convoy vehicles.
All business plans are formatted using Product Planning skills and cost of market entry to manage new vehicle models into production through the company 'gateway' procedures.

Project Manager for Lotus Engineering delivering three high profile projects against a fully identified business plan. All business plans were scoped by myself and bought into by the Company.

From April 1993, I worked in America for Ford Motor Company at Dearborn. Ford are very interested in manufacturing niche / electric vehicles and I was the Composite Body Structure Manager developing structural composites for the use in niche / electric vehicle manufacture. The programme aim was to prove out composite materials (RTM) in low volume build utilising the latest technology available and prove a manufacturing cycle time of 8 minutes or below.

SENIOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
A position held at Lotus Cars primarily to introduce the Lotus Elan from design conception (April 1988) to production in 1990. I controlled and supervised a team of 5 engineers and 4 operatives. I was responsible directly to the Lotus Board. I controlled all the manufacturing input for the BIW, trim and chassis systems and developed new manufacturing processes for the assembly of composite bodies.
