implemented.Developing the local staff,ensuring systems and procedures were in

Responsbilities: The daily organisation of the two factory units,totalling 1,450
people through the 2 Factory Managers.Agreeing production flows with the
Customers and ensuring these were met.Developing the local staff to be self
supporting.Guiding the Technical department in the construction of garments in
the easiest methods.Working through the Quality Manager to ensure the quality
met or exceeded our customers expectations.Working with the Cutting Manager to
ensure the cut to plan was achieved on a daily basis.Building relationships with
key suppliers to ensure that there was good communication and the factories
needs were met.Managing the relationship between Courtaulds and the local JV
partners.
Achievements: Improved factory efficiencies.After finishing my placement the
business ran with no expat senior management.The site grew to 1,700
people.Gave input into a new factory moving the BHS product out,expanding the
M&S business and changing from a mainly M&S Menswear/Childrenswear mix to
Ladieswear products .Adapted to a new culture and gained valuable experience
dealing with an American JV partner and customer.
