1997 - date: Adsensus Ltd.

8/1997 - date: Chartered Engineer and Director

(1) 8/1997 - 12/1997

Provided consultancy and management support to a public utility on the management of a large (£20M) programme whose objective was to replace discrete corporate systems with an integrated system using SAP R/3. Responsibilities included review with the IT supplier of the overall plans, their extension to cover business and cultural change activities, the preparation of budgets and forecasts and the identification, recruitment and assignment of the people needed to effect the business change.

(2) 1/1998 - 9/1998

Project Director of the development for a large (650+) law firm of their new Enterprise Information System (EIS) using Smartstream, CMS/Open and Carpe Diem in a Unix/Windows 95/Sybase client/server environment. Responsible to the Financial Director for refocusing the project including: confirmation of its scope; re-planning and re-budgeting; establishment of a consistent project process; tightening relationships with suppliers; re-staffing the project and re-engineering the business processes between the IT Department and the end-user community. Reported to the firm's Project Review Board on the execution of the new plan including the successful rollout of three releases of the new system.

This assignment was extended twice.

(3) 2/1999 to 11/99

Programme Manager for a very large (US$ 50M+) implementation of the Tivoli System Management Package in a major European Telecommunications company. This programme comprised five projects on four sites and involved mixed teams of supplier and customer staff. The key feature of the Programme is the longer-term objective for the end-client to become a global business partner of Tivoli and IBM.

When the assignment began I was wholly responsible to the local management of Tivoli for the planning and management of the technical implementation. I reported to the end-client's Chief Executive at the regular meetings of the joint Steering Committee. Subsequently my role was extended to include support of the end-client's overall Programme Manager in shaping, planning staffing and executing the whole Business Change Programme which includes the Tivoli Implementation sand four other sub-programmes. My assignment was successfully completed as planned with the handover of responsibility to a local German-speaking team.

1994 - 1997: Groupe Bull

mid-1995 -1997: Operations Support & Business Development: Programme Director.

Member of a small corporate team providing support and assistance globally to Bull affiliates in the System Integration and System Operations marketplaces.

1. Managed the acceptance phase of a programme delivering the national taxation system for a newly democratized country in Eastern Europe.

Activities included:

· provision of training for the client's IT staff,

· completion and acceptance of system documentation,

· completion and delivery of the data transmission network,

· completion and delivery of the power supply network,

· analysis of the performance of 400 systems throughout the country. Based on the results of this analysis I managed the organisation and execution of a countrywide programme of hardware upgrades,

My responsibilities included all aspects of the programme including budgeting, the negotiation of subcontracts, negotiation with the Finance Ministry of contract changes and reporting to the regional and corporate management of Groupe Bull.

2. Took over a large multinational SAP development for a major EU-based manufacturer of agricultural machinery. The objective of this programme was to integrate into the operations of the client group newly acquired companies and new subsidiaries in countries outside its base of operations. This scheme envisioned replacement of the disparate IT systems of the various entities of the group with a completely new IT framework based on SAP R/3.

Set up and managed an urgent programme recovery including:

· review of the programme's scope of supply,

· renegotiation of the contract,

· re-staffing the programme,

· negotiation with and management of subcontractors,

· identification and recruitment of my successor,

· reporting to local and corporate management of both the client and of Groupe Bull.

My responsibilities included all aspects of the programme including budgeting, the negotiation of subcontracts, the negotiation with the client of contract changes and reporting to the regional and corporate management of Groupe Bull.

1994 - mid-1995: Business Process and Quality: Manager, Commercial Practices.

Reporting to the Corporate Director for Business Process and Quality with direct personal responsibility for the global System Integration and Services (SIS) Division for:

· Support of the presales phases of the MOSICTM process,

· Support of extension sales,

· Development of Commercial Practices including procedures and training,

· Establishment of a Mentoring Programme,

· Representation of SIS Division on the Groupe Bull Quality Circle.

1975 - 1994: Logica

1993 - 1994: Logica Finance: Commercial Manager

Reporting to the Chief Executive of Logica Finance (the subsidiary operating in the UK Finance Sector) with responsibility for:

operation and support of the bidding process and the commercial approval of bids,

project performance monitoring and reporting with specific targets for the improvement of project profitability,

approval of contracts,

assessment and monitoring of contract risk,

negotiation with clients of specific contract issues,

quality assurance monitoring and reporting,

project engineering, (including chairing the subsidiary's Project Management Council and the promotion of improvements in the project process across the whole of Logica UK).

In the two years of this appointment the company's profitability was turned from a loss well in excess of £1M to a profit of almost £3M.

1992: Logica Finance: Manager, Payments and Networks Division

Took over at short notice with responsibility for all aspects of the division's operation including business and capital planning, organisation, recruitment, marketing, sales and staff (total 44). The division made its business targets for the year.

1989 - 1992: Logica Finance: Project Director

Managed a team of 70 client and Logica staff producing the Functional Specifications and System Software for the core system replacement of the retail banking application of a major UK retail bank.

Managed a UK/US project for the supply of a high-speed message switching system for a corporate banking application. The switch was the base component for the development of client-based electronic banking services for the corporate banking sector of a major UK clearing bank.

Managed the bid and validation of a proposal for the ECHO Netting multilateral foreign exchange system. This job was subsequently won.

Assigned as Programme Director to a European Computer Manufacturer to manage a contract for the supply of a secure military office automation system. Was responsible for all aspects of the project including negotiation of contracts and subcontracts, establishment and management of the Project Office, management of subcontractors (in five countries) and reporting to the end client. Also responsible for the transfer to the client of the skills associated with the execution of System Integration projects.

1986 - 1988: Logica Industry: Principal Consultant

Managed a group of 30+ analysts, software engineers and programmers as part of a project re-developing a complex real-time control system in a railroad application.

1985 - 1986: Logica VTS; Manager, Manufacturing Engineering

Responsible to the Manufacturing Director for the development, installation and support of advanced manufacturing systems for electronic products.

1980 - 1984: Industry Group: Manager, Engineering Services Division.

Responsibility was for all aspects of the division's operation including business and capital planning, organisation, recruitment, marketing, sales and staff (total 70+). In the four years of this appointment the division's turnover was increased five-fold while net margins moved from minus twenty five percent to plus ten percent.
