BP/ AIOC (April 2005 - Dec 2006)
Position Held: Planning Engineer (Client Representative)
Subsea Pipelines - ACG Phase II, BP Shah Deniz, ACG Phase III
Developed the overall subsea schedule, integrating drilling activities, jacket and topsides installation program, power cable and FOC installations, pipelay activities, subsea spools and structures installation, diving tie-ins and metrologies, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, on three oil and gas development projects sanctioned by BP/ AIOC, namely ACG Phase II, BP Shah Deniz and ACG Phase III. It was recognized when the integrated schedule was developed that there would be a need for flexibility to take account of changing constraints, e.g. changes to the transportation and installation schedule, drilling program, vessel availability and weather. However, this flexibility requirement was not fully defined and is constantly changing, making scheduling effort very difficult. Provided support on schedules to the various teams, co-ordinating and interfacing schedule issues among the different project groups, clients and contractors, to identify and mitigate potential constraints at an early stage. Prepared progress and productivity measurement packages on all subsea related activities for BP's management and corporate reviews, initiated and promoted the discipline of planning with other engineering/ operations departments, in line with the requirements and structure of integrated planning. Ensured that schedule, progress reports and manpower histograms were prepared in accordance with project requirements, and maintained all plans in readiness for weekly and monthly reporting.
