Sr. SAM SCM Consultant
I am currently working in the Nordics rollout at Copenhagen, after successful rollout in Hungary, Malaysia and UK. This rollout involves 4 countries, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway. In my current role I am working in the team lead where I am coordinating the activities for HM (Hydrocarbon Management) team. It is a full rollout. HM team is responsible for bulk and packed fuels and Bitumen purchases, sale and inter-company and Intra Company transfers. SAP Modules used for this functionality are SAP MM, SAP SD, WM and TSW (Traders and Schedulers workbench).
Prior to the above role I was working in the same project but for StBC (Sales to Business Customers) in the team lead roll. The sub team involved in StBC were Sales & Distribution l, CRM, Credit & AR, Materials Management and Warehouse Management. Responsibility included coordination of design and development, Unit, Integration, Confirmation and LES testing. I was involved in three rollouts including Hungary, Malaysia and UK. Some my responsibilities were:
• Involved in the design of Materials Management, Inventory Management, and Warehouse Management, Sales and Distribution and interfaces.
• Co-ordinate that all global templates for the above modules are ready and tested.
• All country specific interfaces are ready and tested.
• Coordinate project deliverables for unit, integration, confirmation and LES testing for StBC team in Shell GSAP project.
• Provide guidance to the testing team for successful completion of the Interfaces & configuration unit testing, String, Integration, confirmation and LES testing.
• Monitor the status of tests, using the testing tools Mercury Quality Centre
• Organise meetings with the design team to review the design issues and resolve the defects identified during the testing.
• Follow up defects raised by or assigned to StBC team in SAP project.
• Organise kick off meeting to provide guidance to the Design team for competing the RIEF (Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements and Forms) unit testing, Configuration testing, String testing and monitor the status.
• Communicate with the testing team to review the testing progress and inform the status to the Central Test Coordinators and StBC team leads.
• Escalate the important issue to the Design team leads, to get their attention, help and guidance, in resolving the issues.

The purpose of the GSAP Programme is to design, build and implement a single global information system, based upon SAP technology, that will support Shell's globally standardised integrated processes. GSAP will replace most of the current 158 ERP and 120 management information systems.

Royal Mail Group plc is a public limited company wholly owned by the UK Government, with annual sales in excess of £8 billion and more than 200,000 employees. Revenue Management forms part of Royal Mail's overall business improvement plans to manage their enterprise systems more effectively. It involves the replacement of their existing Walker-based Sunrise system and the migration of Parcel force express pricing from HALCON to SAP. The new system will support the revenue management process from initial agreement with the customer, through to docket entry, pricing, billing, cash collection and debt management and will provide valuable management reports. SAP Modules used for this functionality are SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP FI, SAP BW and interfaces.
SAP SCM / BW consultant: Initially involved in the interface development and testing Material Management functionality and processes. I was coordinating with the ABAP technical development team and Legacy system team to get interface issues resolved. I used Mercury Test Director for interface testing & issue recordings, and Xansa’s ABC methodology for documentation. My over all knowledge of SAP SCM and understanding of ABAP has been a key to the success of this project and in achieving Royal Mail’s goal to become world leader in the postal services. I have attended two BW courses TBW10 and TBW20 during this project and has worked about three months in the BW team. I was involved in the data conversion and uploading into BW ODS and infocubes. I am currently working back in the SCM team. I have taken over the SD development work from Delloite consultants, who finished in the project starting this month, June’05.
Boots Retail (Pharmaceutical company) :
Boots is the largest retailer and manufacture of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Mainly two projects were being implemented at Boots, Backbone covering the Boots retail and Oxygen covering the Boots Health Care International.
SAP SCM Consultant: Laxmi worked in the Oxygen program: Oxygen was a big investment in BHI under their Change Program for 04 / 05. These were the key to BHI's future and to the delivery of their summit strategy. The benefits that this program brought were critical to enabling Boots to achieve their goal of a top 10 positions in the global OTC market.
