I am currently working in the Nordics rollout at Copenhagen, after successful rollout in Hungary, Malaysia and UK. This rollout involves 4 countries, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway. In my current role I am working in the team lead where I am coordinating the activities for HM (Hydrocarbon Management) team. It is a full rollout. HM team is responsible for bulk and packed fuels and Bitumen purchases, sale and inter-company and Intra Company transfers. SAP Modules used for this functionality are SAP MM, SAP SD, WM and TSW (Traders and Schedulers workbench).


Prior to the above role I was working in the same project but for StBC (Sales to Business Customers) in the team lead roll. The sub team involved in StBC were Sales & Distribution l, CRM, Credit & AR, Materials Management and Warehouse Management. Responsibility included coordination of design and development, Unit, Integration, Confirmation and LES testing. I was involved in three rollouts including Hungary, Malaysia and UK. Some my responsibilities were:

• Involved in the design of Materials Management, Inventory Management, and Warehouse Management, Sales and Distribution and interfaces.
• Co-ordinate that all global templates for the above modules are ready and tested.
• All country specific interfaces are ready and tested.
• Coordinate project deliverables for unit, integration, confirmation and LES testing for StBC team in Shell GSAP project.
• Provide guidance to the testing team for successful completion of the Interfaces & configuration unit testing, String, Integration, confirmation and LES testing.
• Monitor the status of tests, using the testing tools Mercury Quality Centre
• Organise meetings with the design team to review the design issues and resolve the defects identified during the testing.
• Follow up defects raised by or assigned to StBC team in SAP project.
• Organise kick off meeting to provide guidance to the Design team for competing the RIEF (Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements and Forms) unit testing, Configuration testing, String testing and monitor the status.
• Communicate with the testing team to review the testing progress and inform the status to the Central Test Coordinators and StBC team leads.
• Escalate the important issue to the Design team leads, to get their attention, help and guidance, in resolving the issues.

PROJECT: SHELL- IS Oil Global GSAP, Downstream One project
Streamline is Shell's business process standardisation and simplification programme and GSAP is one of the key elements for the realisation of the Streamline consolidated business case. The purpose of the GSAP Programme is to design, build and implement a single global information system, based upon SAP technology, that will support Shell's globally standardised integrated processes. GSAP will replace most of the current 158 ERP and 120 management information systems.

Royal Mail
Royal Mail Group plc is a public limited company wholly owned by the UK Government, with annual sales in excess of £8 billion and more than 200,000 employees. Revenue Management forms part of Royal Mail's overall business improvement plans to manage their enterprise systems more effectively. It involves the replacement of their existing Walker-based Sunrise system and the migration of Parcel force express pricing from HALCON to SAP. The new system will support the revenue management process from initial agreement with the customer, through to docket entry, pricing, billing, cash collection and debt management and will provide valuable management reports. SAP Modules used for this functionality are SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP FI, SAP BW and interfaces.
SAP SCM / BW consultant: Initially involved in the interface development and testing Material Management functionality and processes. I was coordinating with the ABAP technical development team and Legacy system team to get interface issues resolved. I used Mercury Test Director for interface testing & issue recordings, and Xansa’s ABC methodology for documentation. My over all knowledge of SAP SCM and understanding of ABAP has been a key to the success of this project and in achieving Royal Mail’s goal to become world leader in the postal services. I have attended two BW courses TBW10 and TBW20 during this project and has worked about three months in the BW team. I was involved in the data conversion and uploading into BW ODS and infocubes. I am currently working back in the SCM team. I have taken over the SD development work from Delloite consultants, who finished in the project starting this month, June’05.

Boots Retail (Pharmaceutical company) :
Boots is the largest retailer and manufacture of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Mainly two projects were being implemented at Boots, Backbone covering the Boots retail and Oxygen covering the Boots Health Care International.
SAP SCM Consultant: Laxmi worked in the Oxygen program: Oxygen was a big investment in BHI under their Change Program for 04 / 05. These were the key to BHI's future and to the delivery of their summit strategy. The benefits that this program brought were critical to enabling Boots to achieve their goal of a top 10 positions in the global OTC market.
I was involved in the SCM team during the realization, unit testing and integration-testing phases. He successfully managed the configurations in MM and SD and carried out the unit and integration testing, using Mercury test tools and recorders.

After finishing one-year assignment with the Euro Packaging, I was working as freelancer. Providing remote access, issue based support to Osborne and Little. He was also busy in self-study at home and secured mySAP supply chain management-‘Procurement’ and ‘order fulfillment’ certification from SAP UK.

Company design, manufacture and distribute packaging to the major retail multiples, the organisation encompasses six warehouses on the same site with 30,000 pallet spaces, three UK manufacturing sites and one in Malaysia.
Sr. SAP Consultant - Supply Chain; charged with rationalising and improving operational efficiency across warehousing, internal/external logistics and distribution. First line SAP support, duties as follows:
• Hands on experience in implementing SAP-WM, MM and SD with picking, put-away, sorting, replenishment, Inventory counting. Configured successfully storage unit management (pallets) and packing functions using handling units for transportation and inter-plant material movement tracking.
• Successfully met the deadlines in improving stock accuracy and stock optimisation through enhanced SAP MRP using consumption data for forecasting with the seasonal trends. ABC classification of material for consumption based MRP for C class item with stock levels and forecast based planning for A and B class items.
• Improved process using SAP MM, WM and SD modules for greater stock visibility, supply chain automation and rationalisation of warehousing procedures.
• Specific SD configuration and testing with test scripts and user sign off, using back-to-back orders, sales order specific stocks and stock transfers between the plants.
• Improved SAP user training at all levels of the company; investigated the user requirements of each department and streamlined processes and functions to improve overall efficiency.
• Managed the internal upgrade project from SAP 4.0b to 4.7 versions and preparation of technology and systems to move to a new fully automated warehouse in the next few months.

Company is a manufacture and distributor of fabrics and wallpapers with operations in the UK and overseas.
Sr. SAP Consultant; responsible for first line SAP support and the management and coordination of the implementation of Materials Management, Warehouse Management and Sales & Distribution SAP modules, duties as follows:
• Final testing using test scripts, process testing, resolving issues during testing and final user sign off, made use of SAP CATT testing tool for some repetitive process testing.
• Handling ‘go live’ issues during the crucial Go-Live phase of the project and user sign off after testing.
• Implementation of warehouse management including interface to the third part KTP bar-coding system and split valuation (Batch management). Interfacing to third party RF system using ALE / IDocs. Task resource management was managed in the third party, KTP system. Configuration of picking put away, sorting and inventory counting using the hand held scanners.
• Implementation and fine-tuning of MRP, Purchasing, Back to back orders, SD, third party orders, free of charge orders and Inter-company transfers.
• Provided first line and second line support for up to 160 end users during the successful transition from a legacy ERP package. Roll out to US subsidiary including data migration.

Company is a global IT services provider, specialists in leveraging Internet based technology to deliver end-to-end E-business solutions, and Apar is sourcing partner to Logica for providing SAP resources.
Business Analyst; working with Logica Customer Support Group on a client assignment for Shell Expro, Aberdeen, on the development and implementation of the SAP IS-OIL module for offshore logistics management and Osborne and little to help them during the ‘Go live’ phase, duties as follows:
• Provided support to the Shell Expro on the upgrade from SAP 3.0d to 4.6b for their MM, WM and OLM modules; managed second phase integration testing during the upgrade and migration.
• Supervised the documentation review, final handover and knowledge transfer phases with Shell personnel.
• Handling MM, WM and SD issues logged by various customers to Logica support group.
• Go live, onsite support to Osborne and little.

Manager - Business Solutions (08/00-3/01); responsible for pre-sales consulting and business development for domestic and international clients for mySAP.com and Broad Vision products, duties as follows:
• Managed a team of up to 4 Consultants involved in marketing, project tendering and pre-sales consulting; development of potential accounts from enquiry to making presentations to customer groups.
• Supervised active programs of CRM and follow-ups with the aim of building sustainable relationships.
• Received original requests for quotations and mapped SAP functions to the clients requirements, defined user, system and technology requirements; proposed viable and cost effective solutions.
• Managed and attended jointly organised seminars with principal companies like SAP India and Broad Vision.
• Successfully negotiated and secured three major projects with approximate values of £1m each in addition to several smaller projects and system upgrades, all completed on time and to budget.


(03/00-7/00); following the successful initial live period for Sterlite Industries, assisted the business development team in negotiating and implementing an onsite support contract, duties as follows:
• Managed the onsite held desk for all personnel across the various plans; established a system for logging issues, assigning them to consultants and provided suitable escalation procedures.
• Liaison with client across all levels of the business to discuss future developments and enhancements.

Also provided valuable support to the Singapore Metro Rail Transport (SMRT) project team. Resolved essential issues relating to third party purchasing and conducted out end user training.
MM/WM Module Leader & Associate Project Manager (8/98-02/00); managed a major project for the implementation of SAP R/3 for Sterlite Industries Ltd. A Company with interests in copper, aluminum and manufacture of telecom cables; covering 3 companies, 8 company codes, 12 plants, 8 sites and 350 users, duties as follows:
• Involved in the initial project development activities for a site wide ERP at a trial facility involved in copper smelting; defined all plant specific functions, data migrations, parallel runs and plans for Go-live periods.
• Development of the functional definition of requirements for Materials Management /Warehouse Management; prepared User Requirement Specifications, Business Process Blueprint 'As Is' and Process list 'To Be' for both modules.
• Coordinated with hands on experience in Configuration, Prototyping, and Testing using the SAP CATT & mercury tools and Key User Training; produced specifications for ABAP/4 development and BDC report specification for ABAPers to write programs for master data migration.
• Successfully tested the report and data migration program on the development client and managed preparations for Go-Live along with trouble shooting during the initial parallel run.
• Documented all relevant activities and phases and was involved in the Post Go Live Support period.

• Following the successful roll out of the first plant, managed similar activities across the remaining sites.

A joint venture undertaking between GM and the Birla Co; manufacture of models such as the Opel Astra and Corsa.
Manager - Material Operations (MM Power User); responsible for management of up to 40 full time staff covering the implementation of a company wide SAP system and a series of continuous improvement initiatives, duties as follows:
• Managed the planning and successful implementation of a Lean Materials Management strategy covering material receiving, warehouse management and inventory control with considerable effects on efficiency.
• Enhanced company performance across key areas such as materials planning, procurement, finished goods dispatch, shipping, stock management and management of ancillary support functions.
• Successfully carried out an initial process of SAP system mapping with various multi disciplinary teams; designed functional systems for all purchasing, contracts, scheduling and service agreements.
• Managed the mapping of all processes for stock procurement, consumables and assets; designed Material Master, Material Account Assignments and Vendor Management in line with the strategic adoption of SAP.

The company is a major international conglomerate and manufacture of soda ash products using dry lime processes.
Deputy Manager – Materials; responsible for management and coordination of materials, logistics and warehouse functions in a bulk production and distribution environment, duties as follows:
• Development and rationalisation of vendors through formal evaluation and performance assessment.
• Review of all associated contacts relating to support functions, i.e. procurement and transportation.
• Managing inventory control to give accurate real time management information on stock and WIP.
• Successfully coordinated processes to gain accreditation to ISO9000 standards.
