Freelance Instrument Engineer

Instrument Engineer or Control Systems Engineer position preferably overseas assignment, long or short term contract as well as permanent position considered. PMC, HAZOP, engineering, construction or commissioning work.

Consultancy position for client, PetroVietnam for entire refinery petrochemical complex including crude oil unloading, offshore SPM and onshore tankage facilities, refinery units, utility and power generation units, product storage tankage, jetty and truck loading systems, telecommunications, blending systems, advanced control systems, fire & gas system, DCS, ESD, tank gauging systems, packages. Responsible for reviewing and approval of detailed engineering designs submitted from EPC contractor (Technip), participation in HAZOP's, 3D-Model review, vendor meetings and management review meetings. Responsible for review and approval of contract variations and vendor document submissions. Liason between PetroVietnam and Technip for contractual and engineering issues relating to C&I.

Dealing with technical design issues, tracking schedule, approval of design documents and calculations, procurement approvals, inspection approval and vendor documentation review and approvals. Carried out FAT of PSS(ESD) system (ICS Triplex in Perth, Australia) for period of 5 weeks. Carried out IFAT testing at Honeywell (Singapore) for ESD and various packages.
