Since leaving school I have worked in the construction/engineering industries until June 2006.

My main duties were the installation of piping services at numerous locations throughout

the UK and worldwide. During the latter stages of my career I was predominantly involved

in the supervisory and quality aspects of the trade. Due to the variety of work I have carried

out I consider myself to have a sound working knowledge of various piping systems and

with my newly acquired skills in CAD and IT see myself as an asset to any company.

Sep 2004 - Jun 2006 Attended Peoples College, Nottingham - part time evening classes

gaining City & Guilds qualifications in Auto CAD 2004.

Sep1983 - Jun 1987 Attended Basford Hall College of Further Education on day release

whilst serving my trade apprenticeship with Hilton Building Services.

Sep 1977 - Jun1982 Attended The Margaret Glen-Bott Comprehensive School,

gaining "O" Level examination qualifications in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and a GCE grade 2 in German language.

QUALIFICATIONS

CAD and IT City and Guilds - AutoCAD 2004 - 2D Levels 2, 3, and 4.

City and Guilds - AutoCAD 2007 - 2D Level 3.

European Computer Driving Licence- ECDL- Level 2 (MS Office 2000).

OCN Computer Maintenance Studies - various modules completed.

First Aid Sports Medicine - Medic First Aid (CPR Inclusive).

Appointed Person in the Workplace with the Mines Rescue Service.

Trade Qualifications City & Guilds - Pipefitting, Advanced Pipefitting, Oxy-acetylene and Manual Metal Arc welding of low carbon steel pipe. Numerous on site welding tests, and extensive experience of AMI 207 orbital welding.

Installation of pharmaceutical pipe-work including various plastics,

glass (QVF), & stainless steel (purified water systems) orbital welded

using the AMI 207 machine.

Jan 2001 - Mar 2001 M&W Zander, Motorola, Tianjin, China. QA Inspector.

QA/QC Representative monitoring hook-up of specialist & bulk gas systems from sub-fab gas rooms to tools.

July 1999 - Jan 2001 Air Liquide GmbH (Saxony), Dresden, Germany. QA Inspector.

Monitoring & reporting on quality issues within ongoing & completed installations at AMD Fab 30, Dresden. Liasing with sub-contract & client personnel. Also analytical testing of bulk & specialist gas systems with various test equipment for moisture, particle & final helium leak.
