Worked on various submarine systems, commissioning activities on both DWDM and SDH systems. Originally worked on SMW4 systems, this included various equipment such as 1620 SLTE, 1678 and1670. Also worked on power feed equipment, and installed and configured DCN (Cisco routers). Currently working on project Falcon.

Originally Team leader of junior engineers within a NOC environment, providing 24 hour first and second line support. Responsible for monitoring services on all fibre optic submarine cable systems SDH and IP services, i.e.E3 to STM- 64 (OC-48). This was monitored from various Network Management tools such as ITM-NM, SNMS, and 1354RM. Have worked on various DWDM systems including Lucent (OSL 400G, Bandwidth Managers) Alcatel (SLTE), and TYCO (HPOE). Also experience of various Add Drop Mux including Lucent 16-1, Alcatel 1664 / 1670, Nortel TN16 / 64X.
I was then transferred to the provisioning department. Provisioned ccts from E1 - OC48 (STM-16) level.
During the last few months I was in charge of re-engineering whole of network database structure to optimize capacity management. This replaced the present database with a central database management system overseeing all operations and networks, included creating customer orders right through all network inventory, design and acceptance of orders.

I initially started work as part of a manufacturing yield improvement team. This was an area critical to increasing our manufacturing volume. My job

In parallel with this activity, another team was established, led by myself, to look at test efficiency. Since the last year I have been working within the service department.
