Employed in a critical role within the mining industry whose efficiency and production of a modern mine was totally dependant on the uninterrupted operation of any equipment used.The safety of personnel was also affected by the correct functioning of such equipment.Having started as an apprentice and qualified as a Mechanical Fitter,was promoted to roles involving ever increasing responsibility,including deputising for supervisors.
