· Presented business justification and cost estimates for a portfolio of $1.5m capital projects, effectively managing the scheduled delivery of all premises within budgetary limits, to realise financial returns

· Assembled, led, motivated and set priorities for a multi-disciplinary, multi-national core project team of 10 people, as well as various contract managers responsible for a total construction workforce of some 50 people

· Chaired phased design reviews to ensure the definition, quality and functionality of all works satisfied HS&E, process and maintenance expectations, and was instrumental in promoting aesthetic, creative design

· Rigorously reviewed and influenced mechanical equipment design proposals for compliance with project specification and liased with 3 rd party Notified Body for PED legislative inspection and CE conformity

· Controlled the quality, extent and filing of all technical documentation against internal QA procedures

· Managed principal design contractor and all construction discipline contracts through all phases of Front End Design, Detail Design, Construction, Check-Out and Start-Up Demonstration

SENIOR PROJECT MECHANICAL ENGINEER

· Safely decommissioned existing coal-fired boiler and ancillary equipment without incident, in readiness for the introduction of a £5m state-of-the-art 4MW CHP unit with supporting package boilers

· Negotiated a contract for the long-term lease of a nitrogen generator to reduce purchase costs by 75%

· Minimised utility fixed costs by accurately quantifying usages, invoice verification and contract negotiation, and minimised variable cost of self-generated utilities by maximising equipment operating efficiency
