I was responsible for the preparation of a Turnkey Bid for one of the most challenging ERD wells ADTI had undertaken on a Turnkey basis.

July 03 - Nov 04 Well Site Drilling Engineer; Tuscan Energy

I have been involved in both the offshore supervision and the onshore planning of three wells and two workovers to date in the Ardmore Field. The position provided me with valuable offshore exposure in the re-development of the Ardmore field on a Turnkey contract basis.

In addition to continually upgrading the efficiency and safety of the operation my responsibilities are as follows:

· Representing ADTI / Tuscans interests offshore

· Writing Daily Drilling Instructions

· Supervision of third party service providers

· Daily Drilling Reporting

June 03 - July 03 Well Site Drilling Engineer; ExxonMobil Swiss Cheese Drilling Ops

As GlobalSantaFe's representative onboard a coring vessel offshore SE Asia I gained experience in working with crew's of different nationalities and became familiar with the issues involved in the safe emplacement of a Jack-Up rig in this area. My duties included:

· Daily progress reporting and making morning calls to GSF shore based management

· Supervision of third party service providers

· Continuous evaluation and upgrading of the drilling and vessel repositioning processes

April 03 - June 03 Well Site Drilling Engineer; Burlington Resources

As Night Drilling Engineer on the Ensco 85 MLT 116C Jack-up I continued to gain experience in the supervision of operations during the successful delivery of an exploration well and a subsea development well in the South Irish Sea.

The well site drilling engineer position roles and responsibilities were as listed previously.

Jul 02 - April 03 Well Site Drilling Engineer; Gaz de France

As a member of the Gaz de France Well Engineering team I received exposure to both the well planning phase while onshore and the offshore operations onboard the GSF AD11 jack-up.

During the Gaz de France campaign I was involved in the successful abandonment, sidetracking, drilling and well testing phases of a dual lateral development well. I was also involved in the work over of three other wells while interfaced with the Anglia 'A' platform in the Southern North Sea.

The well site drilling engineer position roles and responsibilities were as listed previously.

Jun 02 - Jul 02 Onshore Logistics Coordinator; Shell

While assigned to the GSF140 team based at the Shell office I gained a rapid appreciation of the material coordinators role while seeing through the completion phase of the project. My roles and responsibilities were as follows:

· Provision of Personnel and Material requirements

· Liasing with shore based logistics personnel

· Focal point of communication for all third party vendors

Feb 02 - Apr 02 Offshore Materials Coordinator; GlobalSantaFe

As Materials Coordinator assigned to the Saltire Platform during preparation for drilling start up I gained a first hand knowledge of platform drilling equipment and the difficulties involved in the de-mothballing a platform. My roles and responsibilities were as follows:

· Tracking of Materials

· Liasing with the Toolpusher and Onshore Buyer

· Organising of backloads

Aug 01 - Feb 02 Drill Crew / Technical Assistant to the Toolpusher

While assigned to the Piper Platform I worked my way up from Deck crew to Floorhand in a short space of time. In addition to assisting the core crew in all aspects of drilling operations my duties included:

· Planning and documenting non-routine operations

· Assisting in the permit to work system

· Preparation of risk assessments

Interests & Achievements

I am a keen rugby player and represented Aberdeen Grammar Rugby Club during my university career. I have also represented both the Robert Gordon and Aberdeen Universities. Since starting work offshore my rugby career has been limited to numerous less serious sports matches and 7s tournaments.

Since leaving university I have joined Murcar Golf Club and am continually endeavouring to get my handicap back down to single figures.
