Qualifications

· City and Guilds Part 1 and Part2 in Construction Plant Mechanical Engineering and Maintenance. Includes Power Generator Engines, Hydraulics and Rotating Equipment. Studied welding with Gas and Electric Arc at Stafford Technical College& Auto electrics & machine shop included in training.

❑ 1975/1980. Apprenticeship served with Sir Alfred Mc Alpine Ltd. Program was comprehensive training both in workshop and on site training. Apprenticeship training required three year technical schooling prior to hands-on training.

Activities

· Construction, inspection. Maintenance, hands on faultfinding, repair of heavy plant equipment, power generation and distribution, low and high voltage switching, and OJT training overseas.

Projects

· Tunneling, mining, railway construction, dam and hydroelectric construction, road and bridge construction, and power plants. Majority of these projects were at overseas remote locations.

❑ Support the U.S. peace-keeping mission, Task Force Falcon.

❑ Generation Equipment general Forman. In charge of the running of a workshop in charge of fault finding and testing of electrical systems, Setting up of generators to run in parallel and load sharing. The rebuilding and over hulling of Cummins KTA 50.38 &Various manufactures makes of generators sets to include the training & supervision of host country nationals in all of the daily running and repairs on camp & out posts.

Employed on a number of projects as Operations and Maintenance Engineer in Europe, Africa, Middle East and the Far East.

❑ May 2001, assigned to the Central West African Nation of Nigeria as senior engineer for a 15 Mw power plant supporting the national grid.

❑ Nov 2000, assigned to the Kosovo Region supporting Brown and Root Services Company in the operation and repair of all on-site Aggreko generator sets.

❑ June 1999, assigned Bulyanhulu Gold mine, Tanzania. Duties included the installation, operation, and the day-to-day maintenance, servicing, faultfinding and general repairs of the Cummins KTA50 G3 power plant.

❑ May 1998, assigned Bibiane Gold Mine, Ghana. Duties included the day-to-day maintenance, servicing, faultfinding and repair of power plant for both construction site activities and gold mine operations.

❑ Sept. 1997, assigned to Dammam Saudi Arabia. Responsible for the set up and operation of a depot maintenance workshop for the overhaul of generator load banks and ancillary equipment. Ordered spare parts, organized local labor and developed workshop milestones.

❑ Jan 1997, assigned to Sri Lanka as the operations and maintenance engineer supervising the power plants' daily operations supplying an alternative power source to the national grid system.
