Advanced Modem Product June 2005 - Present Day

· Lead three FPGA engineers to deliver a high speed reconfigurable demodulator.

· Designed parts of the receiver in full precision and bit-true Matlab models.

· Implemented in VHDL targeted to the Xilinx Virtex 4 FPGA family.

· Achieved customer requirements of commercial DVB and IntelSat reception.

· Final product expected to make hundreds of thousands of pounds for QinetiQ.

Advanced Satellite Terminal June 2004 - June 2005

· Based at customers premises in Canada.

· Lead waveform design team of an SCA Software Radio, built upon the Harris SCA Core Framework

· Planted the capability for MDA to continue to do FPGA Digital Design.

· Lead two FPGA engineers in implementing the Saturn waveform to evaluate a particular waveform description language philosophy.

· PCI traffic handled by a Motorola Power PC, programmed using VxWorks and C.

· Commended by customer for delivering all work ahead of budget and schedule.
