Carry out site inductions for all new personnel coming to site third party
employees and INEOS new starts. Ensuring they have reached the required
level of understanding of site rules and regulations prior to access to site
being granted.
Carry out Advanced Safety Audits and workplace inspection on all areas
under my remit.
Carry out Task Based Risk Assessments with asset engineers and SHE
coaches when required.
Carry out Incident Investigations with asset engineers and SHE
coaches when required. Also involved in Incident Investigations with
SEPA (Scottish Environment Protection Agency) and HSE (Health and Safety
Executive) on any reportable incidents on site.
Represent INEOS on GCSA (Grangemouth Contractors Safety Alliance)
weekly manager’s safety meeting.

fortnightly safety reps safety meeting.
Rollout any Safety Flashes SHE notices on site or external flashes to all
personnel in my area.

Control of Work Specialist
Grangemouth
Started in this role to organise and set up new Control of Work
Dayteam. This was to ensure Control of Work system and procedures
were implemented and followed correctly.
Responsible for liaising with all contract and asset personnel regarding work flow process, planning, and equipment preparation and release for maintenance.
Compiled and issued process release work packs to allow maintenance to be carried out on asset. Involving preparation of blanking diagrams and isolation registers for spading and blanking also electrical and radioactive source isolation registers.
Ensure training for Ineos personnel was up to date for Control of Work.
Responsible for making up all Risk Assessed Permits and carrying out risk assessments for plant turnarounds. Involving hot work, man entry, high pressure water washing, heavy lifts, working at height etc.
Carried out this role for four major plant turnarounds.

Innovene 4 LLDPE BP/INEOS Grangemouth, Grangemouth Joined project at end of construction start of pre-commissioning phase.
Was closely involved in all phases of pre-com punching, cleaning drying of systems etc.
Involved with preparation and implementation of drying and cleaning procedures prior to commissioning and also ensuring these were carried out safely and effectively on asset due to my previous experience in this role.
Closely involved in commissioning on Reaction area and feed preparation area.
Covered all roles on plant outside operations including reaction, feed preparation and extrusion also covered Panel DCS role.
Covered Shift Availability Supervisor role when required sickness and holiday cover.
Control of work advisor on shift.
Responsible for waste management on asset.

LLDPE BP Chemicals , Grangemouth Joined project at end of construction start of pre-commissioning phase. Primarily involved in pre-com and commissioning on extrusion systems and extrusion ancillary systems.
Once plant was commissioned moved from extrusion area to reaction then catalyst preparation and finally onto panel DCS role.
