A Senior Programme Manager / Consultant with nearly 20 years of experience in the project management discipline. My career has included, successfully leading multi-million pound domestic and international projects, building PMO’s from scratch, managing PMO day-to-day operations and deploying sustainable change management and process improvement initiatives for firms in the financial, utility, IT services, NHS and manufacturing industries.

I am fully conversant and qualified in best practice project management methods PMI, Prince2 and is a six sigma Black Belt. I am a recognised expert in MS-Project and spent two years as a visiting lecturer in project planning and management, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students at Coventry University.

I have a track record of delivering results within complex business environments with experience of working on large scale programmes managing complex customer and supplier relationships and expectations. I am a motivational and supportive leader and team player, I am also an enthusiastic and effective communicator, and a driving force that makes things happen.

Achievements
• Recovered a £25m WAN/LAN project for the NHS, developed and delivered detailed recovery plan, included establishing PMO to enforce rigorous control over scope, cost and assurance / governance. A phased install and migration approach ensured all sites connected and operational 10 months ahead of previous forecast avoiding £1.5m cost over run and enabling go-live of business critical systems.

• Set up and managed a number of PMO’s implementing all processes and reporting procedures. The latest within IT distibuted services environment, controlling 200 live projects concurrently, managing costs of £12.8m and co-ordinating 30+ Project Managers.

• Strengthened IT Infrastructure (Servers and LAN), implemented corporate aligned systems (email, Finance and SOP), solved bandwidth issues and gained operations efficiency, reduced business overhead by 6 FTE’s.

• Planned and managed strategic reform agenda for IT ServiceDelivery, 60+ initiatives, including amongst others, demand reduction, IVR and Lean Six Sigma at the service desk, forecast £2.0m savings pa.

• Directed M&A transition and business integration project, leading the facilities, logistics, purchasing and IT workstreams of newly acquired business group with operations located in; UK (3), Sweden,France, Australia, New Zealand. Executed forecast synergies and smooth transition of the functions into corporate structure within 9 months.

• Managed European Purchasing re-organisation & transformation, led to formation of central category management and local purchasing teams across 16 European sites, reinforced by focused communications, training and stakeholder management, generated cost savings of £10mpa.

• Defined and implemented strategic re-organisation of support operations successfully moved 150+ international staff to new HQ location on time and to budget, closed 4 offices (Heathrow, Brussels, Amsterdam, and Paris) saving £1.0m pa.
