I am a highly competent Project Engineer/Coordinator who can work on his own initiative with a proven track record in running a variety of projects from both, the office and offshore onboard vessels, barges, and platforms. Prior to recently working in the Middle East as a safety advisor I was responsible for a team of Project Engineers in the position of Project Co-ordinator for the subsea excavation business unit at PSL. Overall I have over 25 year's onshore/offshore experience worldwide in various capacities within the excavation, pipeline, drilling and offshore construction sectors of the oil industry. I was instrumental in the setting up of joint ventures both in Nigeria and the USA. This included but was not limited to, client meetings, training indigenous personnel, Project execution QC/HSE set up etc.

KEY SKILLS

CAREER HISTORY

2003-Present HSE Advisor on Land Fuel Pipelines (48" gas and 12" HFO pipelines) supplying power stations in Kuwait.

·To monitor and manage Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance of the Company on a monthly basis to identify areas requiring improvement.

· Ensure effective Health and Safety controls are available and are applied correctly for all operations carried out by the Company.

· Ensure that all Tenders and Proposals reflect the Company HSEQ Policies and safe working practices.

· Liaise with prospective Clients HSEQ Management to relate the Company capabilities and performance statistics.

· Advise staff of updates/ revisions to all legislative guidelines and standards which are applicable to their work scope on the maintenance.

· Conduct HSEQ Internal and External Audits and furnish reports and close-out actions to all personnel.

· Take responsibility for upholding the Company HSEQ Policy statements and accountability for the implementation of these Policies.

· Provide Clients with high quality HSEQ deliverables which meet their expectations.

· Responsible for leading and engaging the workforce in meeting Company policy in Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality goals and objectives.

· Ensure that the defined accountability for Health and Safety, as documented within all employees Job Descriptions, is implemented as required.

· Prepare and implement HSEQ training courses for all staff on an as required basis.

· Conduct HSEQ Induction Program for all employees to ensure that their responsibilities under the H & S at Work Act 1994 are known.

· Prepare all information and Assist the Project Director in chairing the monthly Safety Meetings with emphasis on raising safety awareness for personnel.

· Ensure that where it is perceived that there is a potential risk to Health, Safety or Environment that personnel can prepare and implement their job task Risk Assessment.

2000-2003 Project Co-ordinator

· Ensure that all safety precautions were implemented and adhered to as specified by the PSL Group, including Toolbox Talks, Risk Assessment, HAZID, HAZOP, IOSH and COSHH Assessments.

Subsea Excavation:

· Pipeline lowering, De-burial, Frees-pan rectification and Repair Clamp Installation.

· Cable Trenching, De-burial and back filling.

· Wellhead / Template Cuttings removal.

· Pre-Lay and Post-Lay Pipeline trenching.

· Seabed Levelling.

· Deepwater Salvage includes generations 5 BOP's, 250T crane Block and Riser recovery.

· Platform Base Excavation.

· Platform Abandonment.

Pipeline Pigging and Hydro Testing:

· Rig up and down of pipeline hydro-testing & pigging equipment.

· Deployment /Recovery of subsea wellhead testing equipment.

· Experienced in the use of test chart recorder and test gauge equipment.

· Experience gained with hyper-baric dive operations in conjunction with subsea hydro-testing operations.

1994-1997 Senior Project Supervisor/Excavation Superintendent

Underwater Excavation Limited.

· Responsible for the execution of client subsea excavation requirements. In overall charge of excavation personnel, including mechanical, electrical and sonar operatives. Directly responsible to the Senior Project Manager.

· Involvement in project set up from initial stage of client meetings, to assessing vessel suitability for excavation equipment. Control of operational documentation.

1992-1994 Senior Jet Prop Operator

Underwater Excavation Limited.

· Duties included planned maintenance of all operational equipment. I.e. Jet Prop 25, 75 and 250 Series, Clay Cutter and Water Canon. Responsible for upkeep of operational paperwork, i.e. certification and material specification files, training and technical documentation. Research & Development.

1991-1992 Shift Supervisor

Henley's Tunnelling Limited - Euro tunnel London.

· Shift Supervisor in marine-side of tunnel. Responsible for ensuring that all tasks and work scopes were safely and satisfactorily carried out.
