Working on the BP AMOCO Valhall Water Injection

Project bid which included the complete redesign of

the concept by B&R. Work included the design and

estimating of the platform, presentations to BP and

final bid clarifications, the project was awarded to

AOP in Oct 2000. In detail engineering responsible

for the wellbay/ simops areas.

Aug 1999-Apr 2000 Aker Offshore Partners (Stavanger, Norway)

Position Lead Layout/Piping Engineer

Working on conceptual design of Utsira High later to

change to Ringhorne for ESSO. Preparing layouts of

the topsides, estimates and presentations to ESSO

the project finished with the bid and bid clarifications

being concluded in June 2000.

Position

Lead Layout/Piping Engineer

Working on conceptual design of 2/7E Water Injection Platform. Preparing layouts of the topsides estimates and presentations to Phillips. Pre-engineering awarded September. Final equipment/piping layouts completed and presented to client, detailed engineering awarded December 1997. Lead Layout Engineer for detail engineering supervising a team of CAD Designers liaison with other disciplines, clarification of Vendor packages and interface with existing Eldfisk Platforms. February 1999 moved to Fabrication Yard at Stord for follow-on/site engineering.

Offshore July "99" for platform installation..

June 1994 - 1997

Senior Layout Engineer Ekofisk 2/4-X Project

Pre-engineering for 2/4-X project. Layout and design of the 50 slot wellhead platform 2/4-X, from pre-detail and follow-on engineering. Preparing applications for consent to proceed with detail engineering to N.P.D. During detail engineering, supervising a team of CAD designers, and liaison with other disciplines. Clarification of vendor equipment, interface with existing Ekofisk complex, bridge fabricator, K.E. Oslo for 2/4-J tie-in, and topside fabrication yard (UMOE) for follow on engineering. Platform installed August 96, returned to A.O.P. for follow engineering and conceptual design for Esso project, Jotun wellhead platform.

February 1992 - June 1994

Kvaerner Engineering (Stavanger, Norway)

Position

Specialist Piping Engineer

Study for J-block tie-in on 2/4P. This involved the addition of a receiver and associated piping on 2/4P and tie-in to the main oil line up-stream of the transport pumps.

Detailed engineering for 6M jacking of 2/4A and 2/4B. Responsible for running a small team of designers the project was cancelled (Sept 92-Mar 93).

Study for 2/4S Feasibility of installing 2 gas compressors and accommodation module enabling the platform to be independent of Ekofisk complex.

Study for jacking the Ekofisk complex and cost estimates.

All the above studies includes manhour estimates (CTR's) and producing scopes of work for the studies and the follow-on work.

Study and cost estimate.

Ekofisk subsidence project jacking option for 2/4 A/B/D.

Producing feasibility studies and cost estimating packages for the wellhead and bridge landing areas. Studies for the wellhead area produced the optimums for splitting the wellhead/christmas trees and deck penetrations.

May 1991 - February 1992

Position

Senior Layout Engineer (Interim Refurbishment project for the Brent Field)

Responsibility for running a design team for numerous projects, i.e. installation of a new fire-pump and driver package, up-grade drains system and tanks, up-grade blowdown system, up-grade produced-water system. Installation of new blastwalls on Delta and the replacement of the deck cranes. Duties were : estimating design manhours initiate design studies, issue enquiry and bid packages evaluate bids etc and finally issue completed projects in work pack form.

John Brown Engineers & Constructors Limited (Aberdeen)

Position

Senior Piping Engineer

Mobil Beryl "Alpha" and "Bravo" platform call off work with overall responsibility for the project from initial work order from client to final issue of completed workpacks. This included estimated design manhours onshore fabrication and offshore installation manhours, materials and total cost in accordance with client and Company QA procedures.

BP Magnus and Clyde platforms call off work responsibilities and duties as above. Production of Piping isometrics for Arco Tyne Platform using Autocad 12.

Phillips Petroleum Company (Stavanger, Norway)

Position

Piping Engineer (Project Task Force based at Kvaerner Engineering A/S

Ekofisk Waterflood Expansion Project. Responsible for the design of 8 additional production wells on 2/4C & 2/4A. This involved the redesign of both wellhead areas, new flowlines for all wells and new manifolds with associated equipment. Also the design of a new wellhead module 2/4W, for 8 water injection wells and responsibility for the design of a 12" dia. 2.6 km subsea pipeline from 2/4K to 2/4W. Issuing enquiry packages for valves, manifolds, tanks, launcher, pipe, bends etc. Evaluating all bids and final requisitioning of materials.

Ekofisk Interplatform Subsea Cable Project. Responsible for piping modifications on ten existing platforms.

November 1987 - March 1989

D21 mud module. Line punch listing of all the piping systems.

Belleli Taranto Italy M16/17.

Wellhead modules line punch listing of all the piping systems.

Listing and agreeing the carry over work, and hook-up work, General assistance to site team and check non conformance reports, etc.

Finally checking as-built drawings for 6 modules and issuing change advice notices "Cans".

Elf Aquitaine - East Frigg Tie-in.

Feasibility studies for new gas compression module.

Phillips Petroleum Company Norway Ekofisk subsidence jacking option S046. Initial feasibility studies for the bridge landings/tie-in, BS, RB, NF, TS, TR, TP, FS, RG and OG.

Detailed study and detail engineering for area TR. This involved offshore surveys.





October 1986- Lead Engineer

Running of S046 piping group, this included supervision of all bridge landings, underdeck piping and rising spools. Liaison with PPCON Engineers and E & C Offshore Engineers, fabrication yards, vendors and Bloms Oppmaling was also required. Offshore visits were necessary to sort out discrepancies between KE drawings and Bloms survey reports.

Two weeks were spent at OIS offices assisting them with the planning of the installation of the bridge landings and piping tie-ins for area North, i.e. 2.4T and 2.4R.

October 1987

Water injection study for 2/4C, 2/4A and south flare, this involved the addition of 8 new well slots and associated piping on both 2/4A and 2/4C.
