Having trained in graphic design, a creative background in advertising then magazine design led to me setting up a very succesful studio hire company with a business partner As a service industry, client hospitality and relations formed a large part of the brief as much as creating and sustaining a business from its outset. Both the hospitality aspects and creative approach have proved very valuable additions to my current role. I produced on several events including fashion shows and conferences.
I later sold my stake in the company to focus on personal projects. Along the way I have gained a cross section of skills which culminated in my current role of contracting Office Management services. As well as several years in a role with financial responsibility including among others, budgeting, bookkeeping, vat returns and credit control, I set out to offer companies strategic solutions to their administration headaches. Perfectly confident as a team manager but with the ability to knuckle down to the job in question, my goal is always to ensure smooth running of the office environment and facilities.
I have recently finished a long contract with an online media company based in London but with a holding company in NY. The role encompassed all the UK bookkeeping and day-to-day financial duties (on QuickBooks Pro) as well as the general administration, facilities and some HR duties.
