Some accomplishments:-
• Coordinated an accounting system restructure to bring seven independent schools under the umbrella of one federation and created a systems manual for easier training – a federation with 800 staff and an annual income of around £160 million.
• Completed an accounting system restructure for a local council and initiated/created a user manual for training and time-saving. This affected the entire organisation which had an annual income of £27 million and around 580 staff.
• Saved two SME businesses from collapse by restructuring them, retraining the owners, reshaping the company processes and redefining the products/services. Both of these were owned by married couples and each had staff numbers around 30 and annual profits of £40,000.
• Restructured a construction business for ease of sale, for the owners who couldn’t sell it and who were keen to retire. This was a two-man partnership and it had around 90 staff and annual profits of £300,000. It contracted with around 20 contractors.
• Bought and restructured a loss-making provincial magazine into a successful national magazine – monthly print-run of 5,000 magazines.
• Under threat of redundancy, 11 months hence, my leadership maintained high morale and exacting reporting standards for an international FMCG company. The staff numbers were around 120 and annual profits were £22 million. The business also contracted to 20 independent poultry growers.
• Turned the worst regional office of an international finance company into the most successful, in terms of credit record and collections. There were 12 staff and the monthly loans were around £100 million.
