CV (Curriculum Vitae) / Résumé
With more than 10 years experience within the voluntary & community sector, I can offer specialist services including; Market studies, volunteer programme set up & development, voluntary services management & training, community engagement, funding applications and tender writing.
I am an individual who is both confident and capable within a management role. Following a period of ill health and recuperation, I am now fully fit and looking for new challenges and the opportunity to broaden my horizons.
I have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and I have continually enhanced these skills on the various training courses I have attended. The skills I learnt on these courses remain with me and I believe they enhance my ability to communicate effectively, whilst remaining patient and objective. This can be especially useful in an environment relying upon communication to gain funding or contracts, increase participation, gain media interest and the support of the local community.
I am computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, Sage Personnel, Powerpoint and several other packages.
As an aside to my previous work role and in a voluntary capacity, I also sat as an elected representative on both Tees Valley Voluntary & Community Sector Forum and Durham University (Stockton Campus) Phase ii Medical Student Placement Scheme Steering Committee.
